We have an interesting and complex project role for a Head of HR to lead our Client through all people related merger and integration planning activities in relation to a forthcoming partnership, together with other additional individual TUPE’s (insourcing) activities. This is an exciting position and will suit someone with experience of leading large scale, change management and TUPE transfers/mergers in complex, geographically dispersed organisations. The role location is flexible either in Mid Kent or South London locations and affords flexibility to work from home/hybrid working.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Represent interest in discussions between internal and external bodies and representatives regarding TUPE issues, identifying all potential risks and putting in place robust measures to address and mitigate.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of a range of complex projects and change programmes   providing overarching leadership and developing strategy to enable effective   operational delivery.
  • Develop, lead and implement detailed TUPE processes and project plans, proactively detailing required actions, milestones and deadlines for delivery; regularly tracking and reporting on progress.
  • Ensure our Client meets fully all legislative and statutory obligations in relation to TUPE/merger activities and colleagues and key stakeholders are proactively engaged throughout.
  • Leading the scoping and scheduling of consultation meetings, considering impact on staff, devising detailed plans to ensure comprehensive, timely, transparent, robust and engaging communication.
  • Providing advice and guidance on integration of all staff and impact on individuals, terms and conditions, policies etc
  • Running retrospectives on project milestones to celebrate successes and lessons learnt to improve project and service delivery.
  • Providing input to the structural impact of the integration for the People function
  • Collaborate with recognised trade union and Staff Forum on proposed measures and key processes in line with our co-creation approach and to ensure positive employee relations

 

Knowledge & experience:

  • Member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (MCIPD)
  • Demonstrable start to finish TUPE/merger experience is essential. Including TUPE requirements/transfers in and out.
  • Significant experience in the design and implementation of large scale in geographically dispersed, complex organisations and the ability to plan and prioritise work in this context
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of employment policy and current legislation and its practical application
  • Up to date and proven experience of managing effectively complex employee relations issues
  • Extensive policy development experience
