Exciting Contract for a TA Manager. Reporting into the Head of People & Talent and working with the senior business leaders, the Talent Acquisition Manager will be focussed on building effective working relationships with senior stakeholders and helping promote our Client as an Employer of choice. You will influence and shape thinking on effective talent management including internal and external talent. Embedded within the business, you will be the specialist in advising the Head of People & Talent on external market factors. You will have overall responsibility for a Talent Team of 5. This role is a maternity cover contract and if the successful candidate is able to start at short notice it will run for at least 16 months. Those with notice periods can also be considered. This role will involve 2 days a week at East Kent sites.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Improve agency spend through direct sourcing and attraction strategies
  • Stakeholder management and engagement
  • Impact business strategy
  • Participate in organisational planning, supporting business growth and flexibility, forecasting hiring demand needs
  • Develop and deliver brand and attraction interventions, ensuring best-in class recruitment communication materials, a compelling online presence, engagement of relevant third parties to support brand-building and attraction, as well as engagement of relevant sector/industry/professional bodies to promote career opportunities
  • Deliver against KPIs of quality, cost, sourcing mix and candidate/line manager experience, each routinely tracked and reported against.
  • Engage with People Advisors/People Business Partner to forecast, plan and prioritise resourcing needs on a short, medium, and long-term basis.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure that for senior or specialist roles there is a robust planning process which captures the need, the sourcing plan, selection approach and clarifies the roles of key parties during the recruitment and selection process.
  • Work closely with the wider People team to ensure value is created from People processes that separate through the teams (e.g. talent deployment, succession planning) and that processes are seamless.
  • Review a set of KPIs and SLAs for the Senior Talent Advisor.
  • Provide regular reports to the Head of People & Talent on recruitment activity identifying any trends or issues and providing recommendations. 

 

Experience required:

  • Strong background in Recruitment including dealing with pre-employment checks
  • Experience of running high volume recruitment campaigns e.g. recruiting and inducting 10 candidates plus per week
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including the ability to influence key decisions
  • Experience of managing a budget
  • CIPD level 3 or working towards
