Our client, a growing Academy Trust are looking for a HR Officer to join their team, reporting into the Head of HR. You will be required to support the academies and external customers with ER cases and carry out investigations for disciplinary and grievance cases, maintaining confidentiality at all times. You will be joining at an exciting time as the trust grows and work with a friendly team who work closely together to support one another, enabling you to grow your career in HR. The role is based in Mid Kent with hybrid working options available. This Client is able to fund someone with their CIPD studies and could suit someone with exposure to lower-level ER cases to gain more exposure to a wide range of casework and to take their next steps in their HR career and studies.

You will work closely with the HR Business Partner, Deputy Head of HR and the Executive Business Managers, guiding, coaching and provide HR advisory support, ensuring consistent and effective HR management of employee relations cases across the Trust. In addition, you will also be required to support the Trust HR Partners in preparation of reports, including absence reports, liaising with academies to collate information. You will support schools in managing staff absences and staff performance.

 

Requirements:

  • Generalist HR experience including ER, performance management, disciplinary etc. 
  • Experience within the education sector would be beneficial but is not essential 
  • Ability to analyse data and statistics to make informed decisions and suggestions 
  • Full driving licence to travel to school sites in the Medway area 
  • Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualification or willingness to working towards which they can fund
