Our client, a well known manufacturing company is looking for a HR Manager to join their team, reporting to the HR Director. You will be responsible for supporting the business providing a comprehensive HR service to ensure managers and employees are equipped with best practice framworks to foster a high-performance culture. This is a full time, office based role in Mid Kent.  

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy
  • Act as SME for all HR operations compliance-related queries across the company; guiding legislative changes/amends, impacts to the business and solutions to mitigate operational risk; advising managers and Heads of Departments on the terms and conditions of employment and legislative requirements
  • Manage a team, coaching and supporting to ensure exceptional, ongoing HR support and service
  • Oversee the annual training budget; ensuring all relevant HSE training is up-to-date and completed through internal and external training days and courses
  • Provide first-line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers
  • Administer payroll and payroll records, collaborating with the accounting division to appraise of any changes such as sickness, maternity and compassionate leave
  • Support the recruitment process, including writing job descriptions, preparing interview questions and undertaking new starter inductions; undertaking onsite occupational health advising aligned with personnel requirements
  • Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes, implementing changes where necessary to drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals

 

Experience required:

  • Level 5 CIPD
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to use own initiative and work to tight deadlines
  • Flexibility
