Our client, a fast growth, prominent Kent based business with a collaborative culture and a large, supportive HR team is looking for a HR Business Adviser, reporting into the Group HR Manager. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high level comprehensive, efficient and professional HR service to managers and staff throughout. Providing operational HR guidance on all employee relations matters across the whole employee lifecycle.  Focusing on improving absence management, reducing attrition, improving employee engagement, embedding the culture of the business, managing employee relations matters in a proactive way and coaching managers in HR matters. The HR Business Adviser will provide support to all HR Business Partners to ensure we proactively deliver an excellent service to the business.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide a proactive and professional HR advisory service to line managers, articulating clear, concise and accurate advice to in respect of all HR related matters, policies and processes, providing support where required, and ensuring that all matters are dealt with in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.
  • Build, develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders to understand current business priorities and associated risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure that all employee relations situations are managed in line with employment legislation, ACAS guidelines and the relevant OSB policies and procedures.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition Team during periods of significant recruitment activity or absence, including engaging with agencies and undertaking competency based interviews in order to ensure that acquisition activities progress to the satisfaction of managers within allocated business areas.
  • Manage and deliver ad-hoc HR projects that arise from time to time which are driven by the business or strategic initiatives.

 

Skills required:

  • 3 years experience in an advisory role is essential
  • CIPD qualified
  • Demonstratable experience of Employee Relations
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Good communication skills
