This thriving manufacturing business is looking for a 15-month maternity cover for an HR Advisor to be based within their offices based South East of Canterbury, easily accessible to most of East Kent. The start date is flexible but latest Mid May.

Working under a supportive HR Manager, you will provide valuable support to the smooth running of the HR provision. You will support on strategic projects and complex casework and give sound advice to Managers.

 

HR Advisor – FTC – 15-Month Maternity Cover

 

Some of the key HR Advisor responsibilities include:

  • Provide pragmatic HR advice to managers to help prevent escalation of issues and embed HR best practice
  • Support managers with performance management, appraisals, and absence management casework.
  • Ensure that HR records are accurately held and maintained, assisting with internal audits where necessary, to provide an efficient and compliant service.
  • Undertake or support managers with investigations, ensuring compliance and best practice are followed at all times.
  • Undertake day to day HR administration such as return to work forms, new starter packs, filing, employee letters, and monitoring absences.
  • Conduct simple analysis or reports where necessary relating to HR data such as absences or casework, to inform managers and support business objectives.
  • Manage recruitment campaigns end to end including posting jobs, shortlisting, and booking interviews whilst ensuring compliance and best practice are followed.
  • Manage the company training matrix, working closely with relevant staff to support employee training needs, booking courses or training as required.
  • Monitor annual health screening, conducting referrals where necessary and following through to a positive outcome.
