Our client, a well known manufacturing company is looking for a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality) to join their team, reporting to the HSE Manager. You will be responsible for assisting the HSE Manager with the efficient running of the department and in meeting health, safety and environmental compliance. This is a full time, office based role in Mid Kent.  

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Record off-Site waste transfers, verify information to ensure transfer is correctly described and meets Duty of Care
  • Record operational environmental data as necessary for the internal compliance and permit obligations, interpret trends
  • Submit data to group and CPI for safety and sustainability indicators
  • Carry out internal and support external audits and inspections as requested
  • Maintain and develop safety campaigns
  • Partake in accident/incident investigation
  • Assist in developing HS&E representatives 
  • Identify ways to improve site HS & E performance
  • Respond to queries and provide advice for SHEQ matters

 

Experience required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to use own initiative and work to tight deadlines
  • Flexibility 
  • Do not need to be NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
